Cascadia Cup History

The Portland Timbers won the 1975 Columbia Cup 3-0 over the Vancouver Whitecaps	Seattle and Portland played for the Mountain Bar Cup in NASL days	The Seattle Sounders pounded the Portland Timbers 5-1 to win the 1979 Mountain Bar Cup.	The Portland Timbers won the 1979 Rose Festival Cup with a 2-1 victory over Seattle in the Rose City.	30,000 fans watched the Vancouver Whitecaps beat the Sounders 3-1 in the Kingdome in 1981.
The Whitecaps white-washed Seattle 5-0 to claim the 1981 NASL Northwest Division Cup.	The NASL Whitecaps respond to a letter from a Sounders fan who objected to post-game behavior by Vancouver's Goalkeeper in 1983.	Portland's Civic Stadium hosted a sell-out crowd of over 27,000 when the Sounders visited in 1975.	In 2003 the Seattle Sounders eliminated the Vancouver Whitecaps from the A-League playoffs on Penalty Kicks. However, the story doesn't end there...	A Feature Story...
